Global shipping market welcomes price hike: US line continues to be overbooked in November

According to Cailianshe, several freight forwarding companies revealed that there was a serious shortage of shipping space at the end of October, which affected almost all routes. Especially for routes to the United States, this overbooking situation is expected to continue until November.

Industry insiders pointed out that the main reasons for this overbooking include: shippers trying to complete shipments as soon as possible before liner companies announce price increases; pre-judgment of the possible impact of the US election results; and Chinese exporters changing their cargo delivery mode. In addition, several shipping companies have issued price increase notices involving multiple international routes.
